Manchester United hand trial to Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli?

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly hands a trial to 16-year-old Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli.

Manchester United have reportedly handed a trial to young Brazilian prospect Gabriel Martinelli.

United have spent big money to sign both Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku this summer, but it appears that boss Jose Mourinho is still keeping an eye on potential stars of the future.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the 16-year-old made an appearance during a youth team fixture with Lincoln City Under-18s on Wednesday.

Martinelli came off the bench during the 2-0 win at Sincil Bank having being assessed by some of the coaching team at the Premier League giants.

The forward is currently with Brazilian side Ituano, whose president is former Middlesbrough star Juninho.
