Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is plotting a summer move for Fiorentina youngster Adem Ljajic, according to reports.
The 20-year-old Serbian, who can operate as both a central midfielder or a conventional winger, has been watched by Gunners scouts on a number of occasions over the past 12 months.
Any move is likely to depend on whether Yossi Benayoun, who is currently on loan from London rivals Chelsea, is retained beyond the end of the season.
Prior to his £6.5m switch to Italy in 2010, Ljajic was close to joining Manchester United. However, the Old Trafford club pulled out of negotiations because of difficulties surrounding a work permit for the player.
