Former Stevenage midfielder Simon Heslop has signed a one-year contract with Mansfield Town.
The 27-year-old joins the League One side on a free transfer following his release by Stevenage at the end of last season.
"[Supporters] can expect to see a lot of hard work from me," Heslop told the club's official website.
"My fitness levels are usually up there and I should be getting up and down the pitch well. I won't shirk a challenge and I'd like to think I'm decent on the ball."
Mansfield's League One campaign gets underway on August 9 when they make the trip to Northampton Town.
