Gianfranco Zola: 'Napoli can win Serie A this season'

Gianfranco Zola believes that his former club Napoli are genuine title contenders in Serie A this season.

Former Napoli forward Gianfranco Zola has insisted that the Azzurri are more than capable of challenging champions Juventus in Serie A this season.

Napoli have made a strong start to the campaign under Rafael Benitez, taking 19 points from a possible 21 to sit second in the table.

Zola believes that Benitez has all the tools at his disposal to mount a sustained title challenge this season, rating the Spaniard as a top coach.

He told Corriere dello Sport ahead of tonight's clash between Napoli and table-toppers Roma: "They are the two clubs who should cause Juventus the most issues.

"Roma have impressed me with the results achieved so far and in the way they have collected them. But Napoli have a great coach and they really are not missing anything in order to target the Scudetto this season.

"I'm sure it will be a beautiful game tonight."

Both Roma and Napoli are unbeaten heading into this evening's meeting at the Stadio Olimpico.
