Champions League-chasing Napoli fell to a surprise 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Atalanta this evening.
The visitors made a bright start to the match, taking the lead after just 10 minutes when Giacomo Bonaventura converted after being found by Maximiliano Moralez's pass.
Napoli responded immediately, however, finding the equaliser just three minutes later through Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Atalanta regained the lead just over 10 minutes into the second half when Ezequiel Matias Schelotto fed the ball to Gianpaolo Bellini to finish.
The lead was doubled 10 minutes later, this time Carmona getting his name on the scoresheet.
Things went from bad to worse for the hosts soon after when they were reduced to 10 men, Goran Pandev being shown a straight red card to add insult to injury for Napoli.
The result means that Napoli lose valuable ground in the race for a top-four spot, dropping a place to sixth, while Atalanta move up three places to 10th.
