Rolando Aarons had revealed that the past few weeks have been "crazy" after making a breakthrough for Newcastle United in the early stages of the season.
The 18-year-old winger scored his first goal for the club in the 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace last Saturday, and he admits that sticking to his natural game is a priority when attempting to impress Alan Pardew.
"It's been crazy," Aarons told reporters. "I've gone from Under-21 football to the first team, and to Under-20s with England in no time.
"The manager tells me just to get at the full-back every game. I went out and just tried to block out of my head how big an occasion it is when I played against Palace.
"I just played my game and was happy to make an impact. I'd been dreaming about that moment for my whole life, so when I got out there I just wanted to impress."
Aarons will play for England Under-20s against Romania on Friday.
