Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew believes that luck deserted his side at Manchester City this afternoon.
The Magpies lost their unbeaten record this season with a 3-1 defeat to Roberto Mancini's City.
"I felt the breaks didn't go our way," Pardew told Sky Sports News after the match. "We had two good chances at 0-0 that didn't go in.
"It just didn't work for us today.
"In games like that, against opposition like that, you need the breaks to go your way."
Next up for Newcastle is a trip to Manchester United.
