Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has paid tribute to the club's supporters following his dramatic late winner against Fulham in the Premier League.
The Senegal international secured a vital victory over the Cottagers in the dying minutes of their clash at St James' Park yesterday.
"The goal was for our fans," Cisse told The Chronicle. "It was very good to celebrate the goal for the fans. It was very, very important.
"The fans were behind us for the whole game and they supported the team and myself. It can be difficult so when you score you should go to see the fans."
The Magpies are now five points above the drop zone.
