Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has hinted that he isn't happy with the mixed displays of midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa.
Ben Arfa has been a success at St James' Park since his arrival in 2010, but after an indifferent start to the season, Pardew has revealed that he wants to see more consistency from the French international.
The 52-year-old told reporters: "The truth with Hatem is that we need a consistency in his play, and that's what we are searching for in the team.
"The decision-making process of Hatem is sometimes crucial, taking players on or playing it quickly. It's that balance that we are trying to get in the team that's right for Hatem and right for us."
Ben Arfa has scored two in 11 appearances for the Magpies this season.
