Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew reveals that finishing in the top half of the Premier League table is his target for the rest of the season.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has revealed that finishing in the top half of the Premier League table is his target for the remainder of the season.

The Magpies are currently in 13th place following last weekend's 4-2 win over Southampton.

"After our January signings I asked for us to produce top-four form to get up the table. The squad is capable of that, and we are looking up," Pardew is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"We can go for top 10 now, there is a target to chase."

Newcastle travel to ninth-placed Swansea in the league on Saturday.
