Ryan Taylor launches a scathing attack on Callum McManaman for his horror challenge on Massadio Haidara via Twitter.

Newcastle United defender Ryan Taylor has slammed Wigan Athletic forward Callum McManaman for his horror challenge on Massadio Haidara during the clash between the two sides on Sunday.

The Latics striker committed a late knee-high challenge on the Frenchman which forced him to leave the field on a stretcher, prior to Wigan securing a 2-1 win at the DW Stadium.

Taylor, who is currently out of action with injury, took to Twitter to launch a furious attack on McManaman.

"Nothing to do with the scoreline an the fact it was a red but as a footballer it's the definition of a 's**thouse tackle'," Taylor tweeted.

"Wow. Not even a yellow #baffled."

The defeat leaves the Magpies 13th in the Premier League table, six points clear of safety.
