Real Betis have reportedly revived their interest in Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez.
Perez is one of only two outfield players to have featured in all 12 of Newcastle's Premier League matches so far this season, but he has scored just one goal in that time.
The 25-year-old's solitary strike was enough to earn Newcastle their first win of the season against Watford earlier this month, though, and the Magpies have since made it two in a row to climb up to 14th in the Premier League table.
El Gol Digital now reports that Betis are interested in the Spanish forward and have placed him at the top of their list of January targets, despite failing with approaches for him in the past.
Rafael Benitez is reluctant to lose any first-team regulars during the January transfer window, but Betis could look to test the club's resolve with a mid-season bid.
Perez, whose current deal at St James' Park expires in 2021, joined Newcastle in 2014 and has gone on to make more than 150 appearances for the club.
