Newcastle United are reportedly poised to make a swoop for Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey in the summer.
The 22-year-old only joined the Swans last summer from Liverpool, but has impressed Magpies boss Alan Pardew during his time at the Liberty Stadium.
Pardew wants the England international to replace Yohan Cabaye, who left the club in January to join Paris Saint-Germain, and is ready to spend a portion of his budget to land the midfielder, according to reports.
Shelvey has scored six goals in 40 appearances for the Swans this season.
