Administrators for Darlington have given potential bidders until midday to come up with an offer for the struggling club.
The Conference side are in desperate need of a takeover in order to prevent the club from going bust and now it seems that there is a race against the clock for new buyers to lodge a bid.
It emerged yesterday that manager Craig Liddle and the club's players were made redundant.
Darlington have gone into administration three times since the club launched 128 years ago.
