Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi: 'Stuart Pearce has full control'

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi insists that new boss Stuart Pearce will have full control of the comings and goings at the City Ground.

New Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce will have full control of the comings and goings at the City Ground, owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has insisted.

Former England Under-21 boss Pearce will take over at his former club on July 1, and Al-Hawasi says that he is looking forward to working with him.

"I'm relishing the challenge of working alongside Stuart Pearce," wrote Al-Hasawi on the club website.

"We want to replicate the achievements of Leicester and Burnley and I am working hard to ensure Stuart will have everything he needs to get the job done.

"As there always is at this time of year, there is speculation over players coming in and out. Many players will be linked with a move elsewhere and it will be solely up to Stuart to decide who stays and goes."

After being in the playoff mix for the first half of the season, Forest's 2013-14 campaign derailed drastically and they eventually finished 11th.

Al-Hasawi's goal is a return to the Premier League and similar success to that of Manchester City.
