TV presenter David Jones joins Oxford United board

Sky Sports television presenter David Jones is named as a non-executive director on the Oxford United board.

Television presenter David Jones has been named a non-executive director on the board of League Two side Oxford United.

The club said today that Jones, who works for Sky Sports and is a friend of Oxford chairman Darryl Eales, will advise the board on "all matters".

"It's a hugely exciting chance to use the knowledge, experience and contacts I've gathered in my career to help grow a very ambitious club," Jones told the U's website.

Oxford are 17th in the fourth tier, five points clear of the drop zone after yesterday's last-gasp defeat at Accrington Stanley.
