Defender Alan Browne has signed a new contract with Preston North End that will keep him at the club until 2016.
Browne only moved to the League One side from Cork City in January, but manager Simon Grayson has decided to offer the Irishman a one-year extension at Deepdale.
The 19-year-old told the club's official website: "The past six months have gone brilliantly for me and hopefully I can kick on.
"Getting into the team towards the end of the season and getting to play in the playoffs - the manager has shown massive belief in me."
Browne, who is a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international, made nine appearances during the second half of the campaign.
