Carlo Ancelotti: "Atmosphere was incredible"

Carlo Ancelotti thanked the Paris Saint-Germain supporters for the "incredible" atmosphere during the 4-1 win over Ajaccio.

Carlo Ancelotti has thanked the Paris Saint-Germain supporters for the "incredible" atmosphere during the 4-1 win over Ajaccio.

Goals from Javier Pastore, Jeremy Menez and a brace from Nene secured victory for Les Parisiens to send them back to the Ligue 1 summit.

"This was a very important win that sees us move back to the top of the Ligue 1 standings," said the Italian. "We played good football tonight. I'd like to thank the supporters because the atmosphere in the Parc was incredible and it's great get that sort of support at home.

"We played well, in a great atmosphere so it's a great night for us. In the first half the team played a little too individually, but we finished the match very well, especially scoring those two late goals.

"The other results this weekend went our way, there was a bit of pressure on us before the game and we're very happy to have got the win and be back top of the league."

PSG now lead second-placed Montpellier HSC by one point.
