Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi could reportedly be set for a swift return to Italy with AC Milan in the January transfer window.
The Argentina international spent six years with AC Milan's arch-rivals Inter Milan between 2013 and 2019, where he registered 124 goals in 219 appearances before departing for the French capital.
However, according to AS, Icardi is indeed a target for AC Milan as they look to bolster their attack, and those close to the 27-year-old may help a move come to fruition.
The report claims that the striker's wife and agent Wanda Nara is desperate to return to Italy for the sake of their family, and Stefano Pioli would like to see Icardi line up alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the forefront of the Rossoneri attack, despite the hostilities that Icardi may face by joining Inter's bitter rivals.
The Argentine is currently out of action as he nurses a knee injury, but Icardi boasts a strong return of 22 goals in 38 matches for PSG since his arrival last year.
