Sergio Ramos is reportedly favouring a move to MLS following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, although the defender is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

Sergio Ramos is reportedly interested in moving to MLS following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

The veteran centre-back featured in 33 Ligue 1 matches last season as Les Parisiens lifted another French league crown, although they were unable to record an elusive success in the Champions League.

Ramos joined PSG from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 and has since played 58 games for the club, although his association with the team ended in June after just two years.

PSG have seen Lionel Messi leave the club for Inter Miami this summer, and the Argentine may not be the last player to make the switch from Ligue 1 to North America.

According to MARCA, Ramos is keen on making the move to MLS but is considering offers from elsewhere as he carefully plans the next step in his long-lasting career.

The report claims that PSG offered the centre-back a contract extension at Parc Des Princes in an attempt to keep one of their experienced heads at the club ahead of the 2023-24 term.

The deal would have seen Ramos earn half of what he received during the 2022-23 campaign - a stipulation which made the player's decision to leave the Ligue 1 champions significantly easier.

It is understood that clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in securing the services of the Spaniard for the upcoming Pro League season, however the player himself prefers a move to the United States.

Messi's Inter Miami could be a potential destination for Ramos, with the Herons also bringing in former Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets in recent months.

The 2022 World Cup winner has enjoyed a successful start to life in Florida, scoring on his debut against Cruz Azul before bagging braces against both Atlanta United and Orlando City.

It is also believed that teams in Brazil are closely monitoring Ramos's situation as a free agent, although it is unlikely the 37-year-old would move to South America for the first time in his career.

Sevilla are also named as a potential suitor if the player wanted to return to La Liga before his retirement, however it remains to be seen whether the Real Madrid legend would want to face off against his former employers.

Ramos will continue to maintain his fitness alone ahead of finding a new club this summer - his former team PSG start their Ligue 1 defence by hosting Lorient at Parc Des Princes on August 12.
