Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Robert Green has admitted that he is bitterly disappointed by the team's recent defeat to Southampton in the Premier League.
The struggling R's saw their winless run extended to three matches on Saturday with a narrow 2-1 loss at St Mary's Stadium.
Despite Southampton claiming the victory, Green has suggested that QPR were unlucky to leave the South Coast without a point.
"It's hard to put into words how disappointing that is," he told the club's official website. "It was a closer performance away from home than in the previous two matches though and I think we gave them a real fright.
"We'd have to go some not to better the last two 4-0 defeats but everyone put in a shift and put themselves about and there are signs of encouragement."
QPR are back in action on Sunday when they travel to West Ham United in the Premier League.
