Queens Park Rangers players in train station row

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes and members of his squad are involved in an ugly altercation with fans at London Euston railway station after Saturday's defeat at Bolton Wanderers.

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes and members of his squad were involved in an ugly altercation with fans at London Euston railway station after Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers.

The Welshman was swore at and verbally abused by a group of Rangers fans who had travelled back to the capital on the same train.

Jamie Mackie and Clint Hill intervened and, after one fan had squared up to the defender, goalscorer Djibril Cisse led his manager and teammates away to an awaiting team coach.

One R's supporter, who was at the scene with his six-year-old son, told West London Sport: "It was horrible to witness.

"I'd say it was three to five people who were really having a go at them and one guy in particular who was squaring up to Jamie Mackie and Clint Hill and clearly looking for a fight."

Clint Hill was denied a clear goal in the defeat at the Reebok Stadium.
