Adel Taarabt wants to repay Mark Hughes's faith in him by helping to secure QPR's Premier League status.

Queens Park Rangers playmaker Adel Taarabt wants to repay the faith shown in him by manager Mark Hughes by guiding the club to Premier League safety.

The Hoops go into their final game of the season against Manchester City on Sunday two points clear of 18th-placed Bolton Wanderers, who travel to Stoke City.

Taarabt believes that he owes his recent improvement in form to Hughes's management and is determined to secure Rangers' top-flight status as a sign of thanks to the Welshman's work.

"I was in France for two months after the season started. I told [the club] I would look after myself in France. That is what I have come back from," he told The Times.

"But when Mark came in, it was different. He said he would never tell me off if I lost the ball, because he wanted me to produce some magic for the team.

"People respect him. He has changed me. I will give everything for someone who I feel is supporting me. I want to stay up for Mark."

Taarabt has made 28 appearances for QPR this campaign, scoring two goals.
