Rangers chief executive Charles Green insists that the Gers will not challenge the Scottish Football League's vote to put the club into the Third Division.

Rangers chief executive Charles Green has revealed that the club will not fight the Scottish Football League's vote of placing the Glasgow-based club into the Third Division.

The stricken outfit, who fell into administration in February, were the subject of a vote between 30 clubs, 25 of which chose to drop the club into the third tier of the SFL.

"We are grateful to be accepted as members of the SFL and accept their decision to vote us into Division Three," said Green. "We made clear we would play where we were told to play and we just want to get back to playing football."

Meanwhile, Gers manager Ally McCoist has stated that he is grateful for the SFL for allowing them into the league.
