Osijek full-back Borna Barisic is undergoing a medical with Rangers ahead of completing a £2.2m switch, according to a report.
The 25-year-old emerged as a target for Steven Gerrard following his impressive displays in the recent Europa League qualifying ties between the two clubs, which the Gers edged 2-1 on aggregate.
Barisic sat out Osijek's 3-2 win over Rudes in Sunday's Croatian league meeting, with the Daily Record suggesting that he is in Glasgow to finalise his transfer.
Rangers are reportedly hopeful of getting a deal over the line within the next 48 hours, providing Gerrard with an extra option on the left side of defence.
Croatia international Barisic has been capped three times by his country, but did not make the final cut for their 23-man World Cup squad.
