Defender Sergio Ramos has suggested that Real Madrid made the correct decision to focus on defending during the closing stages of the 2-1 win over Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
In the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, Real overturned a one-goal deficit to claim two away goals and put the club on course for a third successive appearance in the final.
Real were fortunate to only be one goal behind during the opening stages of the tie and were required to see out a number of Bayern attacks in the closing 15 minutes at the Allianz Arena, but Ramos has talked up his side's ability to "kill" games.
After the match, the 32-year-old told reporters: "When you get on the scoreboard, you drop a little bit deeper and suffer more because your opponents are going for the game.
"But from one down we have learned how to kill the game and no matter who is playing well, we win."
The second leg takes place at the Bernabeu next Tuesday.
