Luka Modric, Toni Kroos to miss Celta Vigo clash

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane reveals that key midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will both miss Saturday's La Liga clash against Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has revealed that both Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will miss Saturday's La Liga clash at home to Celta Vigo.

An ankle injury will keep Modric on the sidelines, while Kroos, in the words of Zidane "has fever and flu" and will not take part in the Spanish capital ahead of next week's Champions League clash with Roma.

Welshman Gareth Bale, however, has recently returned to training following a calf problem and is expected to be in the squad for the clash with Celta.

Real Madrid, who recorded a 3-1 victory over Levante on Wednesday night, will enter Saturday's match 12 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga table.
