Ramon Calderon: 'Jose Mourinho will return to Real Madrid next season'

Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is tipped to return to Real Madrid next season by the club's former president Ramon Calderon.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has predicted a return to the Bernabeu dugout for Jose Mourinho next season.

The Portuguese recently confirmed that he is on the lookout for a new managerial job following his sacking as Manchester United manager in December.

Real has been touted as a possible destination for the 56-year-old, who won La Liga and the Copa del Rey during three years in the Spanish capital earlier in his career, and Calderon expects him to replace Santiago Solari in the near future.

Posting on social media, Calderon said: "I have a feeling, and maybe a little more, that Mourinho will be on the Real Madrid bench next season."

Solari has reportedly been given Saturday's El Clasico showdown with Barcelona to persuade Madrid chiefs to stick with him for the long term.
