Former Brazil left-back Roberto Carlos has admitted that his former Real Madrid teammate David Beckham took better set pieces than him.
Now player-manager at Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League, Carlos played with Beckham at the Bernabeu for four years from 2003 until 2007.
The 42-year-old was renowned for his free kick ability, but he says that Beckham was better with a dead ball than he ever was.
"I practise my free kicks every day," he told Sport 360. "Of course, at the age of 42 the quality is not what it was, but I am still determined to show India the best of Roberto Carlos.
"Beckham takes free kicks better than me. It is a joy to watch him take free kicks and he has proved that free kicks are not all about power."
Carlos played over 500 times for Real Madrid in an 11-year spell with the Spanish club.
