Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard has brushed off speculation that he is not happy in the Spanish capital.
The former Chelsea man has struggled to make a name for himself in two injury-hit years at the Bernabeu but was reassured that he was in Carlo Ancelotti's plans for the new season.
However, speculation surrounding a move back to the Premier League arose, although Hazard has now moved to quieten such talk and insist that he is "very happy" at Real Madrid.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, the 30-year-old said: "It's not true that I'm unhappy at Real Madrid, I feel very happy and you know that a player is always happy when they're playing.
"I haven't played much, nor have I scored, but that doesn't influence the love I have for the club. I'm very happy in the city of Madrid. The situation has been made complicated by COVID and injuries, but I'm happy."
Hazard has started two of Real's three La Liga games in the 2021-22 season so far and played 74 minutes of Belgium's 5-2 World Cup Qualifying win over Estonia on Thursday.
