Real Madrid's Isco given two-match ban

Isco is slapped with a two-match ban for kicking out at Neymar in Real Madrid's 4-0 El Clasico defeat by Barcelona.

Real Madrid playmaker Isco has been given a two-match ban following his red card in Saturday's 4-0 El Clasico defeat by Barcelona.

The Spain international was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Neymar with six minutes left on the clock at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend.

Referee David Fernandez Borbalan wrote in his match report that the 23-year-old was sent off for a "kick against an opposition player, with excessive use of force, with the ball not being within distance to be played".

As a result of his suspension, he will sit out the trip to Eibar on Sunday and the visit of Getafe seven days later.
