Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni is "proud" to have been compared to Jose Mourinho.

Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti compared the 36-year-old with the Real Madrid coach following their 1-0 victory over AC Milan in Serie A on Sunday.

"I am very proud of what the president said," Stramaccioni told Radio Anch'io Lo Sport. "I can only smile at the comparison because I am a nobody, while Mourinho has won everywhere that he has gone.

"I feel fortunate to have caught the attention of a club like Inter, first with the youth team, and Moratti was following the Primavera and appointed me.

"That's why I work every day on the training pitch to try and repay his faith in me. I am happy at the moment, but I need to stay grounded because there is a long way to go."

Inter are currently fourth in the Serie A table with 15 points from seven matches, four points behind leaders Juventus.
