Ashley Williams impressed by "superhuman" Gareth Bale

Ashley Williams praises "superhuman" Gareth Bale for the improvement he has made since joining Real Madrid.

Ashley Williams has praised the improvement made by "superhuman" Gareth Bale since his move to Real Madrid last summer.

Bale produced an eye-catching display as Wales beat Iceland 3-1 on Wednesday, and Williams claims that he has never seen his international teammate in such good form.

"What has he added to his game since he has been in Spain? The ability to be superhuman, I think," the Welsh skipper told journalists.

"People say you get better when you play and train with better footballers, and if you ask me if he's improved since going to Spain then I would say so. He was unbelievable.

"I have never seen anything in my career like the way he played for us against Iceland."

Bale returns to action for Madrid against Levante on Sunday.
