Zinedine Zidane opens door to France managerial job

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says that he would be open to managing France at some point in the future.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he would be open to coaching France in the future.

The 48-year-old has been named by FFF President Noel Le Graet as the national team's idea successor to Didier Deschamps, who has a contract with the World Cup holders until 2022.

Zidane's Madrid contract is also due to expire in 2022, meanwhile, and the former midfielder has opened the door to taking the managerial position for Les Bleus in the future.

"My relationship with Le Graet is good. We've known each other since 1998," Zidane told reporters. "It could be an objective one day. I've said it before, when I started coaching 10 years ago, that it's something that could be a possibility one day.

"Right now I'm here. I'm enjoying what I'm doing here. In the future we'll see, you never know. But my mind is on the day-to-day here at Real Madrid."

Zidane is currently in his second spell in charge of the Spanish champions and has won two La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns at the helm.
