Marcos Llorente: 'I'm not leaving Real Madrid'

In-demand midfielder Marcos Llorente says that he has "no intention of leaving" Real Madrid at the start of 2019.

Marcos Llorente has confirmed that he has "no intention of leaving" Real Madrid at the start of 2019.

Llorente struggled for football in the early stages of the 2018-19 campaign but profited from an injury to Casemiro, and he has impressed for the European champions in recent weeks.

A number of clubs had been linked with the midfielder before his spell in the first XI, but the 23-year-old has revealed that he is "really happy" at the Bernabeu.

"I'm sure I will stay, I'm really happy and I have no intention of leaving," Llorente told reporters. "It's true that in life, like football, the situation can change from night to morning and you cannot lower your aims, you have to take advantage of your opportunities."

Llorente, who is a former Spain Under-21 international, came through the youth system at Real.
