Real Madrid defender Marcelo has penned a new five-year deal keeping him at the club until at least 2022, the La Liga side have announced.
The 29-year-old has been with the club for the past 11 seasons and remains a key part of current manager Zinedine Zidane's first-team plans.
In a short statement issued today, Los Blancos said: "Real Madrid CF and Marcelo have agreed to extend the player's contract, which will see him remain at the club until 30 June 2022.
"Tomorrow, Thursday, at 2pm, Marcelo will appear before the media in the press room of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium."
During his time in the Spanish capital, the Brazilian has made 414 appearances in all competitions for Madrid, winning four La Liga titles, three Champions Leagues and two Copas del Rey.
