Report: Real Madrid want Marquinhos

Paris Saint-Germain's 21-year-old centre-back Marquinhos is a transfer target for Real Madrid, according to a report in Spain.

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos.

Los Blancos currently have Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos and Pepe battling for the two centre-back positions at the Bernabeu.

However, it is understood that the Spanish giants are mindful that Pepe, at the age of 32, is entering the latter stages of his career.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with Marquinhos, 21, with a recent report claiming that the Premier League club were preparing to launch a bid in the region of £15m before Monday's transfer deadline.

However, according to Marca, Real Madrid are also interested in bringing the defender to the Spanish capital.

The Brazilian centre-back has struggled to oust Thiago Silva and David Luiz from the PSG first XI this season.
