Rennes and Bordeaux draw 1-1 in tonight's Ligue 1 clash at Stade de la Route de Lorient.

Rennes and Bordeaux have played out a 1-1 draw at Stade de la Route de Lorient that helps neither team in their quest to rise up the Ligue 1 table.

Nelson Oliveira missed two golden opportunities in the first couple of minutes, but missed the target on both occasions - the second coming from a Cheikh M'Bengue cross.

Jean Kana Biyik opened the scoring after a goalless first half, setting the hosts on their way to what would have been their first win in three games.

However, their lead last a matter of seconds, as Landry N'Guemo supplied Cheick Diabate to reply immediately in the 64th minute.

The home side pushed forward in search of a second, and Cedric Carrasso was called upon to to make stops from Julien Feret and Adrien Hunou.

The result leaves Rennes and Bordeaux level on 18 points in 10th and 12th respectively.
