Damiano Tommasi has cast doubt on Roma's ability to win the Serie A title despite their record-breaking start to the season.
The club are top of Serie A and remain undefeated, but former Giallorossi midfielder Tommasi believes that it is too early to describe them as genuine title contenders.
"Roma have done a lot already this season, but they are still only three points clear of Juventus and Napoli," he told Sky Sport Italia. "That demonstrates that the three teams at the top of the table are doing some incredible things.
"Roma, however, have not been built to target the title and this could weigh them down – especially when we get to spring."
Roma lead the way in the Italian league with 31 points, three ahead of Napoli and Juventus.
