Roma president James Palotta has insisted that Kostas Manolas is "happy" at the Italian club, despite reports linking the central defender with a move to the Premier League.
On Saturday, Manolas's agent Ioannis Evangelopoulos claimed that Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all wanted to sign the 25-year-old in this summer's transfer window.
However, Palotta sees no reason why Manolas, who joined Roma from Olympiacos in 2014 off the back of an impressive World Cup for Greece, would decide to move on.
"Why shouldn't he stay? He has a contract. He's happy here," Pallotta told Sky Sport Italia.
It was thought that the Serie A side were in contract talks with Manolas, but his representative has claimed that he has 'not spoken with Roma for a while'.
