Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough has said that he was "thrilled" with his side's performance in their shock 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup.
Goals from Jamie Murphy and Ryan Flynn handed the Blades a place in the fourth round of the competition as the League One side outperformed their Premier League counterparts.
Clough told the club's official website: "We said before we wanted to put in a performance to make the supporters proud, to do that and get the result as well, you saw what it meant to the players and the 6,000 supporters we brought, they must have been thrilled like we were.
"We talked about it in the week, we thought FA Cup third round, what the hell let's have a go and be positive.
"That's how we have approached every game and we got a little break with the first goal, as was their goal, but the winning goal was thoroughly deserved. I think that they would be honest enough to say that the better side won."
Next up for United is a trip to Notts County in their League One clash.
