Sheffield United are reportedly close to appointing Nigel Clough as the club's new manager following talks with the former Derby County boss.
The 47-year-old has been the favourite to succeed David Weir at Bramall Lane after the Scot was sacked on October 11.
Chris Morgan is currently in temporary charge of the League One strugglers.
United could now install Clough as their new manager by the end of the week, according to The Telegraph.
Clough has been out of work since the end of September when he was dismissed by Derby.
