Sheffield United have announced the signing of Motherwell defender Ben Heneghan for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old made 41 appearances in the Scottish Premiership after joining from Chester City in June 2016.
Heneghan, who has penned a three-year deal, could make his debut for the Championship side for the visit of Sunderland on September 9.
Blades manager Chris Wilder told the official club site: "It is no secret that we've been after another centre-half. Ben has been on our radar for sometime, we enquired about him last year.
"He fits our criteria and he is one we are looking forward to working with."
Heneghan is United's ninth signing of the summer.
