Nigel Adkins looks forward to Leicester clash

Nigel Adkins states that Southampton are relishing the test of hosting Leicester.

Nigel Adkins has said that Southampton are looking forward to the challenge of facing Leicester City.

Adkins, whose side have bounced back with two consecutive victories after their recent poor run of form, continue to lead the Championship on goal difference.

However, the Saints boss knows that it will be a difficult matchup when his side host the Foxes.

"We are relishing the test," he told the club's official website.

"Leicester did very well the other night [against Nottingham Forest] and Jermaine Beckford scored a good hattrick. He is a big-money signing that they have brought in.

"We know that it will be a challenging game, but it is one that we are looking forward to because we have been looking really good in training again this week."

Southampton could find themselves in second place in the Championship come kickoff, should West Ham beat Nottingham Forest this afternoon.
