Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has challenged midfielder Jack Cork to prove that he is worthy of a new contract.
The former England international is yet to be offered a fresh deal and could leave the Saints on a free transfer next summer.
"He is still a player of Southampton and he will stay. He needs to be training and playing like he is doing now to earn a new deal," the Daily Star quotes Koeman as saying.
"There will come a moment that the club will decide about his future but it is too early to decide."
Cork has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace.
