Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has said that he is delighted to be back in the Spain team following their 5-0 win over Venezuela last night.
Soldado, whose last appearance for La Furia Roja was over four seasons ago, grabbed three goals for the hosts after coming on as a second-half substitute, despite missing one from the spot.
"It's a dream to be back in contention [for a place in the team]," he told ESPN.
"The goals were in the second half, and the circumstances more favourable with the game more open and their defence more open."
"There are still three months of competition [before Euro 2012] and anything can happen."
Soldado is understood to pose a serious threat to Chelsea forward Fernando Torres's place in the side ahead of this summer's European Championships.
