Pedro confident of World Cup success

Spain attacker Pedro says that La Roja have a strong chance of retaining the World Cup this summer.

Spain attacker Pedro believes that La Roja have a strong chance of retaining the World Cup this summer.

No European team has ever won the competition on South American soil, but the Barcelona forward is confident that La Roja will continue their recent international success in Brazil.

"Repeating our World Cup win would be great, for the second time, and in addition to that, no other European country has managed to win in South America," he told Gillette.

"We have a lot of players that can create very well, that allow the attack to create chances and we have a very solid team defensively."

Pedro has scored 14 times in 38 games for Spain.
