Emmanuel Adebayor sets his sights on Champions League football after completing his move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that qualifying for the Champions League will be his main aim with Tottenham Hotspur this season.

The 28-year-old striker, who completed his permanent switch to White Hart Lane on Tuesday, has insisted that Spurs will be fighting with the top teams in the Premier League this season.

Adebayor said: "Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle will all be fighting for the top four spots.

"It's not going to be easy but as a footballer you just have to keep doing your thing and see what happens at the end of the season."

Spurs started their campaign in disappointing fashion, with a 2-1 loss against Newcastle on Saturday.
