New signing Ezekiel Fryers features for Tottenham Hotspur's development side against Charlton Athletic.

Ezekiel Fryers made his first appearance in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt this afternoon when he lined up for the club's development side against Charlton Athletic.

The 20-year-old joined Spurs last week from Standard Liege, only for the move to be met by opposition from Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Fryers had been on United's books up until last summer, but having failed to agree a new contract with the Red Devils, the left-back opted for a switch to Belgium after he had seen a move to Tottenham fall through.

His return to England with Spurs so soon after his Man United departure had resulted in Ferguson calling on the Football Association to investigate the deal.

However, Fryers featured for the youth team today and helped set up the first goal in a 4-0 victory.

Jake Livermore and Andros Townsend also found the net.
