Mauricio Pochettino has predicted a "difficult" afternoon when Tottenham Hotspur host Crystal Palace this weekend, urging his players to remain focused at Wembley Stadium.
Spurs face their London rivals four days on from a famous 3-1 victory over Real Madrid, laying down a marker in their pursuit of silverware by overcoming the reigning European champions.
Pochettino is keen to avoid another slip-up in the Premier League, however, having already dropped home points against Swansea City, Burnley and Chelsea this term to leave them playing catch-up at the top.
Speaking to reporters, the 45-year-old said: "You must be focused and we will use the result to lift us, to boost our confidence. But we must work hard to get another good result on Sunday. It will be difficult. Crystal Palace have a very good team.
"It is true they struggled a little bit from the start of the season and they changed their manager. We know Roy Hodgson, a very good manager. We have a great relationship from when he was with the national team. His teams are always very well organised and it will be very tough. It will demand a lot of energy again.
"The challenge is to stay focused and forget the Real Madrid game. After the defeat to Manchester United it is so important to win again in the Premier League. It was very painful, the game against Manchester United, to lose in the way we lost."
The Lilywhites have won four consecutive games against Palace in the top flight, while the Eagles have failed to score on their last four visits to Spurs since December 2004.
